Add a Pre-Payment Fee

Pre-payment fees ("search fees") are automatically charged to requesters at the time of request. These fees ensure a basic payment before you start work.

You can configure these fees by request type and they are charged to every request of that type before it appears in your inbox.

Configure Your Pre-Payments
Click "Configurations" in the left-hand side navigation menu.
Click "Pre-payments".

Under the "Amount" column, add the dollar amount you would like to charge for each record type.
Under the "Fee" column, add the percentage tax you would like to charge for each record type amount.
If you do not want to charge a pre-payment at the time of request, simply enter "0" in both columns.
Click "Save Changes".

In the example above, lawyers requesting medical records from your clinic will be automatically charged $100 and 10% tax at the time of request.
